The audience roared with applause at the Musical Empowerment at NC State A Cappella Showcase on Friday, January 20th, 2017. Witherspoon Student Cinema was packed with Musical Empowerment supporters who enjoyed an evening full of performances by UNC and NC State A Cappella groups, as well as a few Musical Empowerment students.

Musical Empowerment at NC State students, Jack and Isabel, charmed the crowd with beautiful violin and trumpet performances. The brother and sister due have been taking lessons with Musical Empowerment since the NC State chapter launched in November 2015.

Next came Musical Empowerment at UNC student, Yiyhi. Her sweet and bubbly personality shone through in her cover performance of “Mom” by Meghan Trainor. She warmed the hearts of everyone in the room by dedicating her performance to “all the moms in the world”. Watch her endearing performance below on our YouTube channel.
